Hostinger Review

Hostinger Review: Budget Web Hosting

Hostinger is one of the most reliable and cost-friendly hosting platforms. If you look at the prices, they sound too good to be true.

Hostinger is based in Lithuania and is catering to more than 29 million users. Hostinger provides cost without sacrificing quality, which is why I recommend them as a host for simple websites. Hostinger also provides powerful plans as the business grows.

You also don’t need any prior web development experience to get started. Hostinger is one of the most user-friendly web hosting solutions available.

Hostinger claims an average response time of 143ms for WordPress sites. If you acquire a year-long membership, Hostinger provides valuable services such as SSL certificate and Cloudflare protection. In addition to providing an email account, Hostinger’s Cloudflare protection distinguishes it from most of its competitors, who reserve both of these capabilities for higher-priced plans.

Hostinger provides a variety of services such as shared hosting, VPS hosting, cloud hosting, and even specialized hosting solutions such as WordPress hosting, cPanel hosting, and so on. When selecting a hosting service, you must carefully compare the cost of the package and features against your present requirements. This is to avoid paying for a package that supports 25,000 monthly visitors and allows you to deploy numerous websites when you simply need to set up a single website that receives roughly 8,000 monthly visitors.

Hostinger is a low-cost service. In fact, it is regularly one of the most affordable hosting alternatives in our analysis. Hostinger’s shared hosting starts at an astounding $1.99 per month.

Hostinger wants you to join up for a long time and is happy to provide you incentives to do so. There are four payment options: monthly, yearly, bi-yearly, and quadrennially. That last term stands for four years, and it’s rarely used because nearly no other host requires you to join up for that long.

Single shared plans can go as low as $1.99 a month if you buy a 4-year subscription. When you consider that it includes weekly backups and 30GB of storage space, the plan is an excellent deal.

The standard practice among hosting companies is to give a lower on-boarding pricing for longer durations. For example, if you choose a 24-month subscription, the same plan costs $1.99 per month. Remember that this is merely an initial offer; renewal rates are higher and vary based on the duration you select.

Hostinger does not offer dedicated hosting, which is intended for large organizations that require a great number of resources to serve thousands of visitors.

With such low prices comes the anxiety of getting less. Fortunately, this is not the case, as Hostinger’s plans contain everything from performance boosting tools to ample resources.

The three hosting plans include – Single, Premium, and Business. All three operate on top of Hostinger’s own control interface, hPanel, which offers automatic WordPress and hundreds of other content management system installations (CMS).

the entry-level package, includes 30GB of disc space, 100GB of bandwidth, 1 email address, and support for one website. It’s enough to develop a good website with hundreds of pages and thousands of HD images. Certainly, plenty to display your writing, creativity, products, services, or whatever you intend to present.

Unlimited bandwidth, 100 email accounts, and 100 websites are included in the two advanced options. SSH access and limitless databases are two extras that you won’t receive with the Single plan.

Weekly automatic backups are also available with the Single and Premium plans. This isn’t terrible for the inexpensive price, especially considering that many more expensive hosts have no backup solution at all. You’d need to upgrade to the Business plan to get daily backups.

Hostinger does feature a drag-and-drop website builder called Zyro, but it isn’t included in the hosting options.

It’s worth noting that Hostinger also provides other hosting options, such as WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting, and cloud hosting.

Uptime-Hostinger’s uptime statistics aren’t the finest in the industry, but they’re also not the worst.

Typically, I expect web hosting services to provide an average of 99.9% uptime over the course of a year. Hostinger has some months in the 99.8% range, and even as low as 99.04%, which has lowered their overall average. However, a few months of 100% uptime saved their average.

Quick loading time-

Hostinger claims a server response time of 43 milliseconds, which is excellent. In no tests, I was able to validate this number. To get those speeds, you would definitely require a top-tier plan with extremely few resources.

In either case, you may expect loading times in the 300-400 ms area on average. Again, this still quite decent for the price.

The industry average for page loading speed is closer to 900 ms, therefore Hostinger nearly halves that figure.

Live support-

Customer service can make or break a web host.

If your website is down for whatever reason and you are unable to contact a customer care representative as soon as possible, you could lose a lot of sales.

Hostinger never disappoints. The company has a multilingual customer support team, live chat, and Intercom as their primary support method.

However, live chat is only available if you are connected into your Hostinger account.

It is quite simple to use the live chat. After you log in, an icon appears in the bottom right corner of the page.

Money back guarantee-

Hostinger accepts a variety of payment methods, including Visa, Paypal, Mastercard, Discover, Bitcoin, Maestro, American Express, and JCB.

They also provide a money-back guarantee for 30 days. As a result, you can try them out and get your money back if the performance or experience is poor.

Free Website Builder and Free Domain

Every Hostinger package includes a free domain and website builder. This is ideal if you’re starting from scratch with a new website. It’s also beneficial for beginners.

Its drag-and-drop website builder makes it simple to customize a website without any programming skills or experience.

They also provide a lot of amazing templates to use as a starting point.

Simple interface

The Hostinger administration dashboard is extremely simple to use, even if you have no prior experience with web hosting or website management.

Everything is neatly labelled so you can find what you need quickly.

You’ll also have access to any installed software, such as WordPress, from here.

Hostinger’s loading speeds, support quality, and features have a lot to offer.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect web host, and Hostinger, like all other hosts, has some drawbacks. The trick is determining which flaws you can cope with, and which are deal breakers.

  • Limited cheap plans
  • Nonstandard payment terms
  • cPanel Is not traditional

Performance

We finished the study by monitoring our test website from several locations around the world, documenting response times and any downtime.

Despite being hosted on Hostinger’s most basic shared hosting package, our test site maintained a good 100% uptime record across a 10-week period of monitoring

Uptime.com measured response times ranging from 171ms to 1.73s, with an average of 382ms. Hostinger’s response times are plainly on the slow side when compared to starter shared hosting plans, which normally manage 200-400ms with an average peak of 700-800ms.

Page load times are also important, so we used Dotcom Tools’ Website Speed Test to assess our site’s performance from 16 different locations around the United States and Europe

Hostinger Alternatives

Bluehost- Bluehost provides WordPress and WooCommerce hosting solutions in addition to shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting. The add-on Code Guard plans are more expensive than HostGator, but it compensates by providing a free CDN solution, which other hosting companies charge a premium for.

GoDaddy- GoDaddy is the reservoir of articles and blog posts, together with the great support choices and range of services, make it a popular choice for both newbies and established organizations.

Liquid Web-Liquid Web is a US-based provider that provides premium managed web hosting solutions that outperform numerous industry benchmarks in terms of performance, security, sophistication, and support.

HostGator- HostGator provides comparable services to Hostinger, but also provides dedicated hosting. Although slightly more expensive than Hostinger, it compensates with valuable features such as unmetered bandwidth and disc space.

Hostinger is a reputable company that provides low-cost web hosting for small businesses. So, if you want to save money on web hosting, Hostinger is a good option.

Despite the fact that Hostinger offers cloud and VPS hosting plans, I prefer their shared solutions. This is their most well-known characteristic.

The Premium and Business shared plans will be more than adequate for a modest website or personal blog.
